A skilled installer/builder with experience in similar projects is suggested although many DIYers have completed installation on their owner. We are here to assist in any way we can, however, we do not install.

Allow wood products to acclimate to the environment before installation storing in a well ventilated area. Make sure they stay dry and all surrounding area is dry as well. We suggest giving the wood 2-3 days for this.

Maintaining proper temperature and humidity levels before, during, and after installation is very important as wood can expand and contract depending on the environment.

2. Measure the width:

Measure the width of the box beam by determining how wide you want the beam to be. This will depend on your design preferences and the dimensions of the space where the beam will be installed.

3. Measure the height:

Measure the height of the box beam by determining how tall you want the beam to be. This will also depend on your design preferences and the overall look you're trying to achieve.

4. Consider additional details:

If your box beams have any special features such as decorative trim, end caps, or other customizations, be sure to measure these as well to ensure that the final product matches your specifications.

Nope! Box beams are purely decorative, meaning they don’t provide structural support like solid beams or engineered alternatives. That said, they deliver all the visual impact without the added weight or the need for reinforced ceiling joists. So if you’re after style, not structure, box beams are the way to go.

Not much! These beams are built to age gracefully with little upkeep. A simple dusting or occasional wipe-down with a damp cloth is usually enough. If you opt for a stained or sealed finish, a periodic reapplication of sealant can help maintain its richness over the years but otherwise, they’re about as low-maintenance as it gets.
