Floors That Have Already Lived
Reclaimed wood flooring puts a century of old-growth timber underfoot. These boards grew slowly — decades per inch — which packed the grain tight and made them denser and harder-wearing than anything fast-grown at the lumberyard. The nail holes and patina are the receipts.
The material: genuine reclaimed old-growth boards, milled for flooring — already done a hundred years of work and ready for a hundred more.
Character: expect nail holes, color variation, and grain no factory distressing can replicate. That’s the product, not a defect.

Is reclaimed flooring durable enough for busy households?
More than new flooring, generally — old-growth wood is denser because the trees grew slowly. Many of these boards already survived a century as a barn’s working surface. Kids and dogs are a downgrade in abuse.
Wide plank or standard width?
Wide planks show more of each board’s character and make rooms feel established; standard widths read more traditional and can be more forgiving in humid spaces. We wrote a full comparison on the blog — or tell us the room and we’ll give you the honest short answer.
