Hardwood Pulled From Old American Factories
Reclaimed oak and mixed hardwoods salvaged from old factories and warehouses, milled into an engineered plank. Shipped nationwide from Auburn, Georgia.
This reclaimed factory flooring comes out of old American factories and warehouses, where hardwood floors took forklifts, carts, and decades of foot traffic. Builders back then used whatever durable hardwood they had, so the mix is mostly oak with hickory, ash, sycamore, beech, poplar, maple, chestnut, and some pine mixed in.
That mix is what gives the floor its look: a patchwork of tones from honey to deep brown, tight grain next to open grain, and the kind of variation you can’t get from one species. Each board is milled into a reclaimed wear layer on a Baltic birch backing for stability.

Factory Floor Mixed Hardwood Flooring, Installed
Every board is one of a kind. Expect natural variation in color and grain, plus knots and old nail marks — that’s the wood’s history, not a defect.
Installing Reclaimed Wood Flooring
We supply the flooring; your flooring contractor or an experienced DIYer handles the install. Let the boards acclimate in the room for several days before installing, with the HVAC running at normal living conditions, and follow standard hardwood flooring practice for subfloor prep and moisture testing. Random lengths install like any tongue-and-groove floor — stagger the end joints and pull boards from several boxes as you go so color mixes evenly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where does factory floor hardwood come from?
Old factories and warehouses. The floors are taken up when the buildings are renovated or torn down, then the wood is cleaned, de-nailed, and milled into new flooring.
Will every board be oak?
No — and that’s the point. Most of it is oak, but you’ll also see hickory, ash, sycamore, beech, poplar, maple, chestnut, and some pine. The species mix creates the color variation.
Is it good for commercial spaces?
Many customers use it in restaurants, offices, and retail. Talk to us about traffic levels and finish so we can point you to the right option.
